I was very discouraged today when a professor made it clear she felt that most creative writing majors were actually literary study majors in disguise.

or that may have been my own conclusion because i was nervous.
"you creative writing majors...do it for the love. because it's not a great way to make a living. "
then she anecdoted about a past student who was picked up by an agent through her blog and now has a book contract and then another student who got an MBA in literary studies after being a creative writing major.
"if you're meant to be a lit studies major, it'll find you eventually."

I got a camera from susie, i bought a charger after that.
